The name servers above are configured with a registrar such as Network Solutions, for each customer that I serve. After that, customers use Langenberg hosting servers and name servers.

Many web hosters don't control the name servers that their customers use. But then one day the hoster is forced to change to different name servers -- which can take a real long time. Because there are 80 registrars, each with different rules, regulations & hoops. (Be sure to keep track of your registrar password so you can make these types of changes). In summary, owning my own name servers enables me to make adaptive, perfective & corrective changes without the customer even knowing most of the time.

Another issue is flexibility. Not every customer wants to take advantage of every service I offer. Some companies like my name services, and web services. But maybe they want to provide their own EMail in-house. While with other customers it's just the opposite. Managing my own name servers allows me to provide genuine flexibility to customers -- and to adapt to almost any situation.

And then there's location, location, location. These name servers are physically located on the East and West coasts -- which improves performance and provides redundancy.

In addition to my customers, I use these same name servers myself at the Langenberg.Com search site. So they're well tested -- because they're hammered tens of thousands of times each day.
